I had lived in the area for only 2 years when my boyfriend asked me to marry him. We decided that the big event would take place in Corning, but since I was still relatively new to the area and from a much larger city I had no idea where to begin.
 
One afternoon while browsing through Barber's Jewelers I came across the pamphlet for the "Special Event Network" and after looking at this website everything seemed to come together. I would not have been able to pull this off it it wasn't for the help of several vendors on this site: Barber's Jewelers, Crystal City Wedding & Party Center, All-Star Entertainment and many more.

This is a great site! It is so helpful to have a site on-line with local services. I would like to suggest that you add a section that lists people who perform wedding ceremonies and also churches where couples can have their ceremony even if they don't belong. Thank you.

I was selected as the Best Man for my best friend's wedding and stopped by the Crystal City Wedding & Party Center to pick up some things for the wedding & reception. Their staff was extremely helpful in answering some last-minute questions addressing the responsibilities of this important role.
 
I asked for suggestions for a unique gift and they suggested presenting the marrying couple with sophisticated bottles of wine marking their 1-year, 5-year and 10-year anniversaries (I would highly recommend NY State Red Wines). I presented these wines during the rehearsal dinner a week before the wedding, and the couple....not to mention the families....were undoubtedly impressed. It was a great idea that helps the couple think of me and the wedding party for years to come.
 
The staff at Crystal City Wedding & Party Center also re-directed my attention the Special Event Network website, which also fulfilled a lot of my questions. I, in turn, told my sister about it...who is helping her best friend plan a wedding in Elmira....and they've said that the website has been a HUUUGE help!
 
I would like to extend a warm "Thank You" to everyone who helped make my job as the Best Man a lot less stressful, and made it look a lot classier. Thank You All!
